Logo CHRISTINA FOR CONGRESS

“Macomb County is my home, and as a working mom of three young children, I know how hard it is to get by in this economy, and how important it is that we protect our families. I refuse to stand idly by while billionaires like Elon Musk call the shots and leave working families like ours in the lurch.”

Meet Christina Hines:
Prosecutor & Mom on a Mission.

Christina and two other people sitting at a wooden table in a kitchen, engaged in conversation.

A Daughter of Macomb

Christina’s story is one of hard work, service, and fighting for others. These are the values she learned growing up in Macomb County in a hardworking middle-class family and in Warren Woods Public Schools. These are the values she hopes to impart to her children that she and her husband, David, are raising right here in Macomb County. These are the values she will bring with her to Congress.

A Fighter for Survivors of Sexual Assault, Child Abuse, and Human Trafficking

Christina attended the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and earned her law degree from Wayne State University Law School. Immediately after law school, she worked as a prosecutor where she helped victims of sexual abuse and human trafficking, and put away predators who preyed on women and children. Throughout Christina’s career as a legal leader in Michigan, she has prosecuted hate crimes, cold case sexual assaults, homicide, torture, and human trafficking cases, from district courts to the Michigan Supreme Court, and also started a Restorative Justice Program.

A Protector For Our Future

Christina is running for Congress because she believes it’s time to put the middle class first, to make sure that the American Dream isn’t just a dream but a reality for everyone—no matter who you are, where you come from, or how much money you make. It’s time to rebuild an economy that works for *all* of us. It’s time to fight to preserve the American dream for future generations.

  • I am going to Washington to fight for everyday American families like mine by lowering costs and bringing good-paying jobs to our district.

Michiganders are working hard, but our dollars aren’t going as far as they used to - and too many families are barely getting by. As a working mom, I know firsthand that raising three kids in this economy is not easy. I’m reminded of that every time I see the daycare and mortgage bills hit our account, we fill a prescription, or take a trip to the grocery store.

As a prosecutor, I know how to advocate for our community. When I’m in Washington, I’ll work to lower costs on essentials on prescriptions, housing, gas, daycare, and groceries. I’ll hold corporations accountable for price gouging, protect Social Security, and ensure high-quality, affordable healthcare for everyone.

We need a champion in Congress who will wake up each and every day focused on creating opportunity in our communities. I will work to boost manufacturing and innovation, support small businesses and entrepreneurs who help drive our economy, stand with our union workers, invest in quality and accessible public transportation, including high speed rail, support our thriving defense and aerospace industry, and fight to bring good-paying jobs back to our district and the state.

  • I have dedicated my career to fighting for women and children, and I’ll continue that mission in Washington.

As a mother and a prosecutor, the safety and well-being of our children has always been my priority. Ensuring our kids are set up for the future starts with improving education and making sure teachers and students have the resources they need to succeed in and out of the classroom. In K-12 and beyond, we also must invest in career and technical education to expand pathways for young people, so our children and grandchildren can stay and build their lives and families here in our community.

We must also prioritize physical and mental health and address the root causes of today’s biggest challenges affecting kids. I will fight against big tech and harmful social media platforms that are intentionally addicting our children and preying on their mental health. I will ensure state and local law enforcement agencies have the resources they need to combat the ever-challenging fentanyl crisis through increased border security, stricter punishments for the sale of fentanyl and other narcotics, expanded access to treatment and rehabilitation, and better job opportunities for everyone in our community.

I am determined to fight to protect our children and ensure that they have the same rights, freedoms, and opportunities - or more - than we had growing up.

  • As the only candidate in this race that grew up and still lives in Macomb County, I know the toll that the reckless policies from the Trump administration and Congress are having on our community. From the cuts to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and Education, the haphazard firing of federal workers, the rollback of environmental programs that support our natural resources like Lake St. Clair and our Great Lakes — reckless actions in DC hurt all of us here in Michigan.

I am a working mom of three. I’m a wife, sister, and daughter of autoworkers. I’m a Christian with a heart to serve. I’m a prosecutor who has spent my career fighting for our most vulnerable citizens. And I am personally committed to protecting, championing, and serving the people in our community.

Right now, we have an unserious administration that is attacking our constitutional rights and protections at every turn. I know how to weather difficult storms like this. With my deep roots in our community and my experience as a prosecutor, I’m ready to fight – and win – every single day for our community.
